Thought I would do a little life post now, before I have to do some other stuff.

Anyways, this is my first post typed on my new

iMac

which is totally amazing! It’s all shiny! And Appley! Haha, so yeah. We’ve got both iLife and iWork on it – iWork is really good!

A couple days ago we went to the big shopping mall, to see Alice In Wonderland: 3D. I really enjoyed it, especially the Mad Hatter and the Mad March Hare. However, I didn’t really think that AIW was the best film to project in 3D. In all, it was a great film, and would also be great in 2D.

After that, we went to Pizza Hut, just across the way from Cineworld. I had a really good meal there, although my sister would no doubt state otherwise… Then we came to the purpose of our visit, which was to go into the Apple Store to purchase the iMac. We also bought iWork there and installed it afterwards.  We then came out of the shopping mall and went across to the park, where we did some kayaking, which was great.

Earlier on in the week I also went to Edinburgh, for another day out. I’m really tired now…

Yesterday we went to the beach. I got exceptionally sandy there. God, I was glad for that bath afterwards!

My new podcast should be coming soon, but since I’ve had this computer change I will be a bit delayed. Also, look out for some site changes soon! Some may happen today if I have time.

Yup, you read it right. A podcast. My very own too. This is all proper, by the way. I will regularly make episodes and upload them to iTunes, so you can ALL download them onto your iPod and listen to my beautiful voice everywhere. xD

What happens if I have a screenless iPod (like an iPod Shuffle)?
That does not matter one bit because I am making the podcast without any video, so you can all enjoy it equally. I have a screenless iPod too, so I know how frustrating it can be.

I have an idea for the podcast! Where can I tell you?
I strongly stress that you are more than welcome to put any suggestions down below, in the comment section. I love your ideas! Also, if you wanna get a shoutout in the podcast, please put your name or username in the comment section below as well.

Uhh… I don’t even have an iPod. What can I do?
Hopefully, I can upload the audio file on here, so you can listen to it just like everyone else. Alternatively, you can just listen to it on iTunes (which can be downloaded for a Windows and Linux as well as a Mac).

Omigod! Do I have to pay for each episode?

Magic is when someone apparently does something that seems impossible. Of course, there always is a very clever explanation to the trick that the mind never seems to figure out. There are a lot of different types of magic, like:

Impromptu – magic using ‘on the spot’ items.
Close-up – magic that allows people to view the tricks up close.
Table-top – tricks that can be carried out on top of a table.
Stage magic – illusions that are usually performed on stage for a variety of reasons.
Card magic – tricks that involve decks of playing cards.

Those are the five main types of magic people can learn to do.

I, for one, have been and still is very fascinated by the notion of magic. I started quite a few years ago, when I was about seven or eight. I saw a small magic set in my local garden centre, and have been hooked onto it ever since. Now, I practise magic whenever I can, with lots and lots of different props and techniques.

I go to a local magic club, about 9 miles away from where I live. I was one of the founding members 3 years ago, and I’ve been a very eager and regular attender from then on. There, my conjuring skills have been nurtured and I like to perform magic shows to family and friends, and more recently, the larger community.

I also love to watch ‘Magic’s Greatest Secrets Finally Revealed’ on ITV4 on Saturday nights at around 6:00pm (GMT time). It really intrigues people, as magic has rather taken a backseat nowadays behind video games, films and modern technology. This particular programme exposes some of the most closely-guarded secrets of famous magicians, including David Copperfield and Harry Houdini.

I recently went to a lecture, in a university I have visited a couple of times before, about the science of magic. It covered a very important topic that magic closely relies on: misdirection. Misdirection is basically when the magician ‘misdirects’, i.e. makes the audience miss something very obvious, which is usually a key part to most tricks. I personally found the lecture very interesting, considering it was my first one as well.

So, that’s a little on one of my hobbies: magic.

Anyways, so yeah. If you’ve been following my Twitter you will probably know that I went camping over last weekend. It was great fun, and I enjoyed it throughly! I will tell you more somewhere else… Speaking of that, my new and very secret thing maybe coming up soon… just need to phone Apple today. (hint #1)

Mondays… pretty average. On the bus back from playing hockey, I had to sit with One Of The People I Tend To Stay Away From. We had a random debate about iPods, which I won, of course. And also, my music teacher gave me an awesome piece of Bach music for the piano – I am teaching myself it right now.

My games teacher had a real go at me for being late for games – again. I just felt like saying ‘deal with it’! But somehow I thought against it… A couple of other teachers moaned at me as well. I swear my teachers hate me…

I got a real shock on Wednesday – I had been chosen for a hockey match! I was all like o_o … I mean, what were they thinking? Anyways, the match was okay… ish. Ahah, uhh… 7-0 to them. Never mind. My friends were cheering ‘EL-EE-IT, EL-EE-IT, EL-EE-IT!’, and I was like =D … I also somehow got drenched in water, no idea how. But, the highlight was – team tea! It was nommy. We also played a really fun mini-game afterwards.

We also had a badminton competition against the other 6th form, in which we failed epically…

Also, @olihj is acting really weird on Twitter, could someone please tell me what’s going on? He’s blocked me, so I just blocked him back. Probably going through one of his phases… He’s also sucking up to everyone?

Sorry I haven’t posted in ages, exams and such. But I’ve got lots to tell you guys. =D

In case you haven’t noticed, I have taken the graphic smileys off the posts. The smiley text will still be there, like ‘:D’ but I have changed it so it won’t automatically convert. I did this so I could do some more smileys, like a few I use on my Twitter, but some weird smileys that WordPress have come up with will stay like ‘:mrgreen:’. xD

A couple weeks ago, I went swimming at my local pool. I got changed, as usual, and went into a hot shower. I then started itching like mad, suddenly, just like that, but dismissed it because it didn’t seem like much to me. Later on, in the pool, my mum noticed that my back was all red, so we decided to check it out. I had red spots all over my chest and back. I was convinced it was a nut I had accidently bitten into the day before, but it turned out to be biological washing powder, I think. -_- I have been itching all week, especially in my school uniform, which is really annoying, and I have to have short, cool baths now until the spots are over. I actually had to miss my swimming last week, in case the water irritated it. So now, I’m on like a billion medications at once. xD

The past week has been practically dedicated to revision for my practice exams. What I really don’t get is, why? I mean, it isn’t Einstein’s Theory (or maybe it is for some I hasten to add), all you have to do is to revise, sit and write. Easy? Well, it certainly isn’t ℯ=mc²…

Much else happened? School. But I don’t wanna bore you with that. xD

Maybe I should introduce another gem to the blog? Well, just before that I wanna tell you that I’ve got a new Community page, which is basically designed to tell all you guys and visitors and web-surfers a little about my little community of bloggers and tweeters and YouTubers. So yeah. Anyway, I’ve got a Banners page coming up for you, and an idea of a Games page is formating in my head as we speak. xD

I seem to be getting a reputation for being the King of Annoying Songs and Lyrics. My newest masterpiece is a song about the ingredients of an average Tesco Bakery Mini-Doughnut, which rhymes. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. ‘Omigod, he actually is sad enough to do that?!’ Answer is, yes. I need a proper hobby. It’s number… uhh, #67 I think on ‘Eliot Benvie’s Amazing Guide to Being Hated’! Buy one today to get hated! Just like me! Nah, just kidding. Even I wouldn’t write something like that. Or would I? -.o

Hmm… I wonder what would happen if the guys at school were reading this. Better not tell them. Whoops. Uh oh. Oh well. xD

Soo… yesterday I went to my first-cousin-once-removed’s Christening. It was cool. And there was cake. Lots of cake. Hey, I’ve got two of them. First-cousin-once-removeds, I mean. :mrgreen:

Anyways, back to the title. A lot of people have left us, on Twitter, on WordPress, and on lots of other places. So, I’ve decided to dedicate this post to them.

Freddyp9 and Zxz192 – This pair were great friends. They had once ran a Club Penguin site together. Zxz192 had simply decided to quit, which is quite valid. Unfortunately, very unfortunately, Freddy discovered he was dying. The source of it would be too dire to describe on here. He is sadly going to be leaving us on Earth around March. Both of these guys will be sorely missed. :cry:

The Panic Button Blog – Even though I didn’t really talk to these guys much, I still felt I had to mention them here. Their blog was a huge success, posting up the funniest laughs around the web. From what I understand, they stopped yesterday or even the day before. Their blog is still up, and I would be very happy if you could take some time to roam around their site here. 2icarly3 has taken on the role to keep up the funny pictures on his site, so please check them out here.

Other Club Penguiners – There are lots who play Club Penguin, and sadly some ‘quit’ every now and again. So I’d like this to be the place where they are all remembered. Some I used to talk to, some I didn’t even know, but they all deserve to be remembered here. Thank you.

I had a Burn’s Supper on the 26th, it was good. :) Nothing much else happened – apart from homework. :| And it snowed, shined and misted all at the same time today and I got sent home early. :mrgreen:

Yup, you should be glad I wasn’t posting recently. :P I really need to hype up this site more now, so expect the following from me:

Have you seen the new Apple iPad yet? It’s totally amazingful. Yeah. I initially wanted an iPod Touch but now I want this instead! And I think I’m getting it very soon! :D It’s even more than an iPhone! :o

So yeah. I survived my first day at school. :mrgreen:

It was a toughie, but I lived to tell the tale. So, what’s new you ask? Well, for starters in Art we are designing bird-boxes. Mine rules. We are gonna make them next week! :) Also, we are getting all hyped-up in French to do our mock exams, so I have to make a presentation about Christmas in France. Got any info? ;-) We are also rehearsing the school play, ‘Charley’s Aunt’. I’ve gotta come to every single rehearsal. :| And lastly, we are doing an enterprise project and we are making a school newspaper! :D One thing that sucks about it, though, is that we’re doing it the same time we are rehearsing the play. So, I can’t do it. But I’m desperately trying to become an editor for it as I’m like the only person in the school with half-decent grammar. :mrgreen:

So yeah, unfortunately I’ve gotta go to school today. :cry:

In some ways, I’m looking forward to it, and in some ways, I am not. For instance, I kinda want to go back to school because I’ll see my friends, get into the routine again and also because I am fed up of sitting around in the house all day. :mrgreen: But, I don’t wanna go back because of homework (SCREW YOU HOMEWORK!!!) and some other things. :P

So, what’s happening this term at my school? Well, we are rehearsing for our yearly production of the school play. This year, it’s ‘Charley’s Aunt’. I am the prompt and it is potentially the hardest part in this particular play. There are tons of opportunities to go wrong, so I’ll have to stay hot on my feet. 8) Not much else is happening, though. Oh wait – I think we are doing our ‘mock’ Common Entrance exams this term. Joy.

Also, a little about the site. I’ve decided to reply to you guys within your comment, so that it looks neater, and also so it doesn’t count my comments as well, which is what it’s doing right now. :???: And one other thing: I don’t want to remind you all to keep checking my blog as I feel that’s ‘cheating’, if you like.
